This is my first e-magazine. I already have a print subscription. I love the print version, but I agree with the other reviewer that the on-line version is better. I had already gotten the December Christmas copy in print and had read it. I subscribed because I could get the on-line in addition and thought this would be a great way to try out e-magazines. It's very well laid out, I like the way that it doesn't go page by page but article by article. And the pictures pop! I discovered articles and recipes that I'd missed, because they didn't stand out in the print version. I love it!!

This issue if full of all your summertime activities, from vacation and beach spots with which places you might enjoying eating. Receipes galore for summer cookout and barbeques, beautiful table settings. And....the ability to check the items of interest on your Nook are awesome, it's really better than actually better than turning the pages. My only regret is the first issue is $1.99 very fair but subsequent issues will be $4.99 a abit much for me.

the worst part is you can not bookmark a page. so forget about finding a recipe unless you go through the bad formatting. if you close the magazine, open anything else, then reopen the magazine, it starts out on page one again. to recap; it cannot be bookmarked. the format is difficult. it always start you on the cover page after opening something in between.

I don't like the app. Returning to the cover page every time I open, wastes time. I might as well use the print version!

Good content but needs article view to be able to zoom in on articles and pics. All Time Inc mags seem to be the same. They need to invest the effort and $ needed to make their magazines more user friendly on the Nook.

Southern Living is the classic guide to elegant living in the South. I love the articles that focus on different Southern cities, and ALWAYS look forward to the recipes. I enjoy the editor's remarks....he is witty and fun. I have read several "Southern" magazines but Southern Living is by far my favorite. I will continue to renew my subscription for years to come!
