Mike Hartman expected it to be so easy. Two years in a sleepy Southern town, reorganizing a small school. Just the nice, easy break he needs to recoup. He just hadn't reckoned on a certain auburn-haired teacher, who opposes his changes at every turn.

Conflicts at work, and a heated mutual attraction make for a tension fraught year... but when trouble strikes, Sarah finds love gives her strength to face the future.

Editorial Reviews

AOL Reviewer Board
Author Rosemary Laurey gives us a wonderful story in SOUTHERN SONG. The events in her characters' lives made me laugh out loud at times, and almost weep at others. I greatly enjoyed the watching Sarah and Mike work out their problems. This book also lends great insight into what it is like to be a family member of an alcoholic. I strongly recommend this book. It has something for everyone! I will be looking for the next book by Rosemary Laurey!
Lisa Hamilton
Rosemary Laurey has penned a warm, witty tale of love and the redemption found in forgiveness. Southern Song is the story of two people who find each other amidst some very tumultuous times in their lives. Sarah is a wonderfully warm character full of human frailties that you would recognize in your own female friends while Mike is a terrific blend of masculine charm and humor. Southern Song is a book that will stick with you long after you have placed it on your keeper shelf. -- CompuServe Romance Reviews
The Word Museum
This is a good, enjoyable, and fast-paced read. It delivers real problems in a less than romantic setting and does it with panache. If you are wanting a satisfying book that appeals to all your senses, don’t pass on Southern Song
Under the Covers
Southern Song has characters that are real characters. And there are love scenes to leave the reader breathless.
