Such growth was most evident on the rollicking, anthemic "Part of the Plan," a buoyant, radio-friendly pop hit that brought Fogelberg to a larger audience and, at the time, easily placed him alongside such California hitmakers as Joni Mitchell, the Eagles, and Jackson Browne. A reviewer

Every song becomes a part of you. Each song sequenced perfectly like pieces of a puzzle coming togther to form a perfect symphony. A work of art. The beginning of Dan Fogelberg as we know him today. This album takes on even more meaning as the world learns of his passing. A remarkable artist. His musical vision lives on through works of this sort.
