About the Author

S. L. LaNeve was born in Pittsburg, PA and grew up in the little town of West Miami, FL. As a tiny tyke, she loved picture books until climbing trees, camp, watching TV and living in her imagination seemed more fun. One of two girls in a neighborhood of fourteen boys, she knew the meaning of the word bully first hand. She's been told she was popular at Miami Coral Park Sr. High but wishes she knew it back then. Eventually she earned a BA in Psych from the Univ. of FL, thought she wanted to become a psychologist, but realized she wanted to figure out her own nutsy mind before she tried to help others. That process involved much writing, which led to creative writing, technical writing and ultimately, earning an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults. She is a child in an adult's body. Go figure.
