This book was helpful at times but the main concern was the accuracy of the practice tests. Many of the practice test problems had errors in the problems themselves, along with the answers and explanations given. I had found numerous mistakes with the math section, which can cause quite a headache when you are trying to prepare for the test. The book overall contains many helpful tips to taking the test but consumers are better off buying the official guide published by CollegeBoard. The strategies in this book are also present in the guide published by CollegeBoard.

THIS WAS THE WORST BOOK I HAVE EVER HAD THE DISPLEASURE OF READING. THE TIPS DIDN'T HELP AND IF COULD GIVE THIS NO STARS I WOULD DO SO.

I thought that this book would help me, but it really didn't.The strategies that they told you didn't really help you on the SAT. The only thing that was good about the book was that there were explanations to the answers.

I found this very useful when studying for the SAT. The other books were more about figuring out the "tricks" for guessing right, and this one was more of a review of subjects that I could use to look up forgotten details learned in past years of school. There were test-taking strategies included, but less emphasized than in other books.

The book provides great guidlines for all parts of the test. Shows very good examples and provides great explanation of the questions and answers.

Although other books may be able to prep you for the sat, they are usually dull, boring, and put you to sleep! This book is interesting, funny, and acctually teaches you things. The test explanations are especially helpful. Even though it should have been proof read better, since there are some minor errors.

Even though I majorly bombed the SAT today, I think the book was a bit helpful. The best thing is all the online tools that they give you.

This book really helped me. I think I'll get a far better score on the SAT now. The main thing I like the fact that they have strategies for every section, and that they have a good writing sytle. This works well in conjunction with the related titles below.

If you want a book that is straight-forward, uses a 'comprehensible' language, and makes fun of the SAT, this book is for you. I have never seen a book so organized and complete. Something even better about the book is the price, 19.95!!! Get that perfect score, use Sparknotes! Barron is out-dated, old school, chao-chao, hasta-la-vista-baby.

This is by far the best SAT I prep book out there. The explanations are clear and concise, and the explanations for the practice tests are perfect. Also, each section is given an equal amount of attention (about 200 pages each) and no concept is overlooked.

I thought that I would never be able to conquer the difficulty level of the questions on the new SATs. I spent a couple of days reviewing, using SparkNotes, and went from a 1480 on their first practice test, to a 1980 on the third one. In order for you to succeed, you need to review everything you got wrong the 1st time around. SparkNotes shows you how to do that. Job well done!

This book clearly claims that it will help you prepare for not only the New SAT, but the PSAT, as well---this isn't so. Don't get me wrong---if you're looking to prepare for the SAT, this is a wonderful resource. Don't expect, however, to be able to use this book as your primary resource in preparing to take the PSATs. It might come in handy as a reference throughout the course of your preparation, but you will be far better off buying Kaplan PSAT 2005, in terms of the PSAT. Aside from this, no complaints! Sparknotes has done it again!

This book, by the creators of Sparknotes, lives up to the usual high standards set by their lit guides and website. It's smarter, better and faster and the free essay grading really tells you how good you really are! Great way to study for the test! Way to go Sparknotes!

The New SAT by SParknotes is a book you would never abjure(reject). The strategies are great and their is no spurious(false) information in the book. This book has great subsections and the best of all is the three practice tests at the end of the book. They explain the question's answer and the topic is was taken from. Overall, the best book so far! Waiting for Princeton and College Board!
