Hey, I'm a hard critic, but overall, I liked this book. It was better than the previous book for 4.6. Great, examples, easy to follow, and it was much more in depth on the Administration side. For anyone new or who has an intermediate knowledge of Notes, I think this is an excellant source of information. However, for those advanced users(Experienced Developers and Administrators) this book will be more of a reference than an all out learning experience. I'm still looking for the book that shows ALL of the console commands, all of the switches for the console commands, not just the main ones, and one that goes into detail about setting up gateways(SMTP,PAGER, FAX) and touches on other flavors such as Unix. This book came close but one star away from perfection.

This was a well-written book that covers both App Dev and Admin R5 Update topics. I found this book very helpful in studying for the Application Development Update exam. If you are studying for either R5 Update exam, be sure to also use the Self Test Software to study.
