Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble
The Barnes & Noble Review
Fireworks is the web graphics program you’ve dreamed of: software that makes it possible to create virtually any web image efficiently, while also permitting you to stretch creatively -- and even, if your clients will pay for it, to produce great art.

Special Edition Using Macromedia Fireworks MX is, simply, the definitive guide to Fireworks MX. Your author is Jeffrey Bardzell, who’s created interactive Fireworks tutorials for Macromedia’s own web site. You name it, he covers it, in unparalleled detail. Want to use Fireworks’ powerful Live Animation tool and interactive behaviors? Start using Fireworks as a full page design and comping tool? Use Fireworks in collaborative environments, sharing libraries and symbols with your colleagues? Extend work you’ve already done in Photoshop, or repurpose existing print graphics?

It’s all here -- along with loads of tips you simply must know. For example, if you worked with masks in Fireworks 4, you’re accustomed to white pixels hiding objects and black pixels revealing them: in Fireworks MX, it’s the opposite. Some of your old masks will change, and your masking objects will no longer be editable.

You’ll love this book as much as you’ll love this software. Bill Camarda
