I finally got thru most of the book, its been helpful in my job managing and building out our new portal infrastructure. I wish I had this book in the beginning of the summer when we were piloting Sharepoint. I'd probably make suggestions about putting in a development system and a technical sandbox (now we have no money left). The hardest thing about Sharepoint was just finding people that had done it before. Q's book would have filled in the gap pretty well in the beginning, now we've got a handle on it. No names, but my other book was pretty weak. Good info in this one, nice job.

I really have enjoyed this book so far. It's very complete, with development samples, lots of step by step how to's, and more. It even goes into things you don't see in a lot of tech books, like change control and addressing business requirements and things like that. It's good!

I've never read a book that was laid out this well and covered everything - designing a system, installation, developing and customizing, and more. And I really like the examples, too. It's a great book.

While the first 4 or 5 chapters are pretty basic, the authors do a fantastic job of showing how to develop SharePoint and how to set it up in the real world. Great example scenerios!!!

If this is anything like Que's other Special Edition series, it'll be worth the wait. The review and table of contents looks on the money. What's up with the discount already - pretty cool!
