About the Author

Evangeline Machlin trained such actors as Steve McQueen, Lee Grant, Suzanne Pleshette, Joanne Woodward and Faye Dunaway. Dr. Machlin was formerly Director of Speech studies at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre and Lecturer in Speech at Columbia University.
