    Very Good!

Enjoyed this beginning to a new series. I loved how the characters interacted and dealt with the situations that came about. It's great when authors don't try to create drama by making their characters clueless and instead have them talk things out. Can't wait for the next one.

At first, your heart kind of breaks for Killian. He’s got such a bleak outlook on his life and walks out on a potentially perfect partner because of familial duties and expectations. He’s got more patience and tolerance than I do, because if I had his power, I’d exercise it to tell those that seek to control me via an arranged marriage not to mess with me, but Killian just goes takes it as the only option.

The romance is oh so sweet on all fronts and so sexy and even funny sometimes. The conflict is just sad at first, but turns devious later, making for an epic, climactic final showdown. Supernatural power plays are always interesting, but they’re especially fun when one side is clearly more powerful than the other and decides to make a statement.

Perhaps the most important thing to say about this book is that it’s hilarious! I was pissed at the conflicts now and then, and smiled at the wedding and resolution, but I spent the majority of this book laughing my tush off! What impressed me was that Killian could have sex in front of his cat when I can’t even stand the thought of doing so in front of my blind cat. Best part of the book is Aloysius; a bisexual familiar with gigantic cat balls to go with his attitude…more please!

Tara’s first real foray into the paranormal realm, she doesn’t disappoint with a story just as lovable as all her others! Funny, emotional, and sizzling, Spell Cat is a must read and I can’t wait for the next book!

Killian Barth mustn't mate with humans or his powers of witchcra

Killian Barth mustn't mate with humans or his powers of witchcraft will diminish. So says the legend, but Killian is in a quandary. As the most powerful witch for ten generations, he is being forced into a marriage with a female witch. Both families believe their union will help reverse the declining numbers of their species. There is just one problem with this, Killian is gay and in love with a gorgeous professor of quantum physics - Blaine Genneau - who is human. His intended fiancee is equally keen for this marriage not to take place, as she is madly in love with a human too! Into this situation struts the most assured cat familiar of all time, Aloysius. With his blue eyes and rumbling purr, he leaves Killian in no doubt who's in charge here. This is a super story with likeable characters, a strong storyline and, most important for me, a wonderful cat,who is full of personality. First in a series, I'm looking forward to reading the next one!

    Truly good

A very very good m/m read. Plot, characterization, people not acting too stupidly, funny, sexy, and fantasy all in one.
The sometimes foolish behavior of the main character is not altogether illogical or unwarranted given the predicament.
The story is funny, the sex scene is good, and the characters are for the most part likable or at least identifiable. I am very pleased, and I am not a person that easily gives praise.
