    Tsureboru, a spawn of evil

I think this book is one of the best I got!!! It does have a huge selection of spells, and even some I haven't seen! My players love it when I pull out the book because that means they are going to run into a new spell that they know nothing about! I have even found favorite spells like avasculate, that I can now not live without having a character learn it!! Keep up the great work WOTC!!!

    Nice Book!

While the above reviewer makes a good point, the book doesn't contain the standard PHB spells, this book is a good buy for either the devious DM or the spellcaster-lover. It contains 3.0 to 3.5 updates and fixes and moves some of the FR spells over to 'standard' d&d. Given some of the name changes for spells in the book I'm not sure or not if it contains OCL material or just removing specific campaign flavor. Anyway if you are always jonesing for new spells this book is a good choice for you.

    a great idea BUT....

I liked this book for its descriptions of what happens as the spell is being cast (IE a swirling vapor surrounds you as you begin the incantation). However, the main reason I purchased this book was so that I would not have to flip through 6 books when trying to choose spells for a character or when I needed to look one up. This books is incomplete. Pay close attention when they say 'over 1000 of the BEST spells'. Many spells are left out. You will still end up flippling through multiple books trying to find what you're looking for. Popular spells like 'permanency' and 'cat's grace' are not in this book. In other words: the main reason anyone would purchase this book is invalidated nice try WOTC but if you were going to do it, you should of done it right.
