Saving his past could destroy her future...

Damaged and desperate, Danica Wilcox searches for sanctuary and peace of mind after enduring vile and brutal treatment by the dark warlock Matías Escobar. Hoping for safe haven at an old summer cabin owned by the Wilcox witch clan for more than a hundred years seems to be her safest option. But when her rejuvenating R&R is interrupted by a ghostly visitor, Danica sets out to solve the mystery of his death.

Determined to uncover long-hidden truths, Danica takes a journey into the past, calling upon her own special gift of manipulating time. However, the secrets that she uncovers were meant to remain buried. Torn between loyalty to her family and the beyond-earthly pull she feels for the mysterious stranger, Danica struggles between what is right and what is wrong, between changing the past and altering the future. Can Danica save her "ghost's" life without destroying the Wilcox clan entirely?

Meet the Author

A native of Southern California, Christine Pope has been writing stories ever since she commandeered her family’s Smith-Corona typewriter back in the sixth grade. Her short fiction has appeared in Astonishing Adventures, Luna Station Quarterly, and the journal of dark fiction, Dark Valentine. Two of her short stories have been nominated for the Pushcart Prize.

Christine Pope writes as the mood takes her, and her work includes paranormal romance, fantasy romance, and science fiction/space opera romance. She blames this on being easily distracted by bright, shiny objects, which could also account for the size of her shoe collection. She fell in love with Sedona, Arizona, while researching the Sedona Files series and now makes her home there, surrounded by the red rocks. No alien sightings, though...not yet, anyway!

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review Oh my gosh this book was amazing. I recommend that you read through the series before reading this book or else you will be completely lost. I love the setting and the plot. I thought the increase in Danica's powers was so cool. I mean this is the first witch that could do this! So I also applaud Christine Pope's use of a different time period and I know that it must have taken an extremely long time for her to get such accurate time era settings and the everyday life. I cannot wait for the next book hoping that we cam continue their story and maybe find another happy ending for another witch.

Another superb book by Christine Pope continuing the story of Danica Wilcox which I received free for an honest review The previous book left Danica lost in her own world after her ordeal with Matias and his group. Now Danica has to pick up her live and go forward no easy task. While visiting Caitlin, who is a seer, she are told to go to their cabin in the woods to recover. At the cabin she see the ghost of Robert Rowe and his murder. She know she can help him and decide to use her talent to time travel to try and help him. Danica travel back to 1884 where she meets her forefathers and Robert Rowe. Well that is as much of the story I am telling. It is and exiting story of love, witch talents and rivalry as only Christine can do it. I hope there is a follow up to see what happen to Danica and Robert.

I haven't read any of the other books in this series but I love Christine Pope's work so I jumped right in!! Danica Wilcox is part of large witch clan. She's had a rough time of it lately. Her last boyfriend turned out to be a bad guy, she was kidnapped and her best friend was killed. Add to that her mother is trying to pair her off with a random selection of warlocks and she's had enough. She travels to the clan cabin to de-stress. But she starts having visions of a man in 19th century clothing and she thinks she may have finally cracked!! When she sees this man murdered on her front porch, she becomes determined to help him, after all what's the point in being able to time travel is she can't save this man. Her adventures begin when she finally amps her powers enough to travel back and insert herself into the time of her ancestors. When she meets her "ghost" Robert Rowe, she feels a pull to him that she had not banked on. Will she solve the riddle of his murder? What murky family secrets will she uncover? I'm not a lover of time travel romance usually but this had enough suspense and action to keep me happy! Danica is a great heroine, triumphing over so much tragedy but eventually becoming stronger for it. Robert is a great romantic lead!!! 19th century Arizona springs to life and it's interwoven by the "curse" that was laid on Danicas family patriarch. Fabulous read - now going to go and buy the rest of this series!!!!
