Maxine Reigate discovers she is a Druid Priestess and as such is expected to help the Seelie Fae keep the Dark and monstrous Unseelie Fae behind their Prison Wall. The partners with her in this effort, are two very different and absolutely mesmerizing males. One is a Prince of the Fae, and the other--a High Druid Priest just revived after a two hundred year coma.
She travels to Scotland to stay at a warded castle belonging to the Druid, Julian MacTalbot. During this time, an obsessed and blood-drinking beautiful, evil and ancient woman decides she wants Maxie dead, and has the magical powers to achieve her goal. As Maxies own magical mana develops, so does her love for one of her partners, and the question remains, will the one she chooses--be he right one?

excerpt:Here was her very own royal Fae, in all his human Glamour. His silver eyes were bright and his demeanor possessive as he swept through the room to come right up to take her hand and put it to his lips. Softly he whispered as he brought his eyes down to hers, My Lia.
She was enchanted by the way he spoke to her, as though no other woman in the world held his interest. His manner could waken lust in a ninety-year-old woman who had forgotten romance long ago. He was the thing of dreams for all women. Breslyn fit the hero billif you discounted that he was a male Fae, of another race, and an immortal race at that.
She twinkled at her prince, and he chuckled. They made a happy sound together, but it made Julians mood turn blacker. He stared at Maxie, who caught his look with some surprise. Why is Mr. Broody glaring at me?
She ignored him and said by way of introduction, This is Breslyn, Royal Prince of Dagda. Max nodded towards Talbot. And this is our host, his lordship, Julian Talbot. She stared at Julian, who was busy glaring at the prince.

Talk about steam . . . Spellbound - Legend has all the elements needed to get your heart racing and in a good way. Claudy Conn has stepped onto the stage of paranormal romance writing and is going to give Harris, Hamilton, and Feehan a fight for their audiences. Conn is a master story teller returned to give us more of what we want. I don't know which is hotter Breslyn, Prince of Dagda or Julian of Talbot?! I am so conflicted! Best of all, Spellbound is just the beginning of an incredible new se

WOW!!! This book grabbed me from page one. Claudys writing is so good. She has written a world with Fae, Druids, Humans, Dark Fae, and an evil vampire like creature who are either going to protect or rule over the humans.

Maxine is a Druid priestess with a legacy going back to 1814. But dealing with the visions she has had since a child and now trying to deal with the evil like vampire creature trying to kill her she must rely on the Fae Prince Breslyn (who exudes sex) and the

SPELLBOUND LEGEND: This is one book I'll never forget. The author has done a magnificent job of creating the world of the Tuatha De Danaan, the Druids and the humans who interact with them. She succeeds in making them so realistic, I found myself believing they really exist and who knows, perhaps they do.Maxie is an absolutely wonderful character. The author has given her spunk, wit, and the ability to work through the most difficult situations imaginable. Her interactions with

A life-changing journey brings danger, awakening, and more importantly, passion in Spellbound Legend. Ill say right off the top that this is one hot and thrilling book. I fell for all three of the main characters, fun loving Maxie, dark and brooding Julian, and one hot Fae, Breslyn. However, it wasnt just the characters that kept me on the edge of my seat, it was the entire involved plot that included jealously, betrayal, magic, murder, and, of course, hot passion just t

As people who know me or have followed my reviews know, I love all things Fae. I have since I was a child. I even have a fairy tattoo. I love reading books about fae, but lately I have not really found many good series to dive into. So many have just plain weird lore or are retelling of a fae falling in love with a human without really having much story around the world of fae. Yep, I am a fae snob. Why do I bring all this up, because this book gave me what I was looking for. A new fae series to dive into. I adored the first book in this series and can not wait for more. I loved how the world of fae was intertwined with the world of Druids. I also loved how the characters from so many different places and times all convened together. The love story was good and the good vs. evil story arc was very well developed. I am really looking forward to where the story will go from here. While the book left the good vs. evil story arc at a place where I am sure it will continue, the main love arc ended in a very good place so I did not feel like I was only getting one book slit into pieces. I enjoyed the voice of the author's writing. It felt like we were actually listening to the different character's sides. I am so mad at myself for not starting these books earlier. I can only hope the next book is as good as this one!!!! This is an 18 plus story for some violence and scenes of adult fun.

Title: Spellbound - Legend Author: Claudy Conn Released date:January 1, 2010. Page count: 413 Genre: Fiction, Romance, Fantasy, and paranormal. My rating: 5/5 stars Publisher:Create Space My thoughts: Soooo once again Claudy Conn writes another amazing story full of twists and turns leaving you wondering how it's going to happen, when it's going to happen. There of course is a love triangle who to choose who to be with. Who's better. I'm happy to say she chose the one I thought she would. Feels smart! The Review: So the book starts out slowly then... BAM! You're thrown into the plot and the story sucks you right in. At point all the characters have their wow moments. One has a ever changing moods, nice and charming one second then GRRR rowr the next. The second one thinks he is high and mighty and has the stuck up air around him. Then the third just needed to choose one instead of leading them around.

I really enjoy reading this book, Julian and Maxine have a timeless love. I enjoyed meeting Breslyn and can't wait to read Prince of the Mist when I finish the Legend Series. I have also lent all the books to my sister who loves this series as much as I have. This is a must read.

I love stories about Fae. Maxie has to learn her powers as a druid priestess fast as she is hoisted of to Scotland by her uncle to fight an unworldly evil woman. In order to do so, she needs help from Julian, a druid priest, and Prince Breslyn. The fun part in this great read is to find out which man gets the girl. :-)

I enjoyed this Fae tale, lots of world building in this first in series book but I didn't feel overwhelmed with the info. I liked Julian, however I am really intrigued by Prince Breslyn and I'm looking forward to reading further books to find out what happens next.

Spellbound by Claudy Conn Book 1 of the Legend Series Maxie Reigate’s world has just gone into overdrive. Her whole life she has been taught about the Legends of her bloodline. About the Fae and her Druid ancestors. Maxie and her Uncle Kennet head for Scotland to help destroy the woman who killed her namesake but she finds another battle, the battle of her heart. First there is Breslyn, Royal Fae Prince of Dagda, who exudes sensuality like the sun exudes light. Secondly is the man whose she fell in love with as a child as she would gaze upon his portrait, Julian Talbot. Druid priest Julian Talbot wakes up from a two hundred year coma just to remember he was not able to save his new bride, Maxine, from the evil Lamia DuLaine. The Fae had saved his life and now he can only think of one thing. Revenge. As he goes to MacTalbot Castle he comes face to face with a mirror image of his dead bride and yet this woman is so different. Maybe he has found a reason to live again. The author does an excellent job of letting you in the thoughts of many characters. Good and evil alike. The storyline pulled me in and kept me reading to the end and looking forward to the next book. The next story is Aaibhe Shee Queen which goes further into what happened with the Queen and another Talbot a few centuries before. Julian and Maxie’s story is complete but there are other stories that continue….mainly the war brewing between the different Fae sectors. Mainly those who want power to rule over the humans and those who want to continue to protect the humans and hold to the treaty. **Sexual situations and language

Great plot. Enough romance to make it endearing. Enough sex to make it sizzle. A talented author indeed. Cant wait to read the next!

I’m a huge fan of Claudy Conn’s writing and each book is different and unique.  I loved the world she created with the Fae and Druid practice. Once I started Spellbound I could not put it down. As soon as I finished I wanted the next one. I found myself drawn to the story as well as the characters. This book has it all suspense, love, romance, deceit, action, intrigue, passion and heartbreak everything you want in a great story and strong characters to boot. I can’t wait to read what is in store for them next.    Maxine Reigate’s father as always told her she has special powers but she never thought anything of it and never believed him. When she sees her parents off to Africa, on her way back she has a vision of their plane crashing and her father saying goodbye to her. Two months later she gets a visit from a very sexy Breslyn, Royal Fae Prince of Dagda who would defiantly have all the women swooning over him (I know I was).  Then we have Druid priest Julian Talbot wakes up from a two hundred year coma just to remember he was not able to save his new bride, Maxine, from the evil Lamia DuLaine. Julian is one well-built stubborn sexy god of a man who is tortured because his could not save his wife and all he can this about is revenge. Can Maxine and and Julian defeat Lamia and Keep the walls up between the Fae and earth? Whoever said saving the world and having to choose between a fae prince and a Druid priest was easy?

This book is 711 pages plus a prelude to the next book. While the grammar was good if not a bit dry the story seemed to lack a bit. Summary: maxine, who is named after her long dead ancestor, travels to scotland in or to team up with a fae prince, her adopted uncle, and a lord who was once married to her long lost aunt in anattempt to kill the witch who murdered the previous maxine. Eventually maxine must choose which life she wants...the fae and his gift of fairyland or the lord and the heart her namesake fell in love with centuries before.... The writer did well with this book and i enjoyed reading it. Though the character and relationship was well done seemed slow at times while the battle woth the witch was quickly over. I recommend this book and it is worth taking the time to read so long as you have an open mind about things such as druidism.

The sad part of this book was when Maxine dies at the hands of Lamia DiLaine on her wedding day. But, this sets the scene for another book. (Maybe) A lot of characters good and bad are left over. I really enjoy Claudy's books and can't wait for the new one to come out.

Maxine is a young woman who looks like her ancestor. The ancestor that was brutally murdered by an evil vampire like woman. The ancestor that was in love and married to the man who's picture has captivated her since a young girl. The man whom she will work with to bring down the evil creature. This all creates an equation that should be simple? No, not in any world or realm. Certainly not in a world where a fae prince Breslyn has an eye for his Lia. Not in a castle owned by a sexy Lord Julian who is fighting his attraction to a Maxie most unlike his bride. As Maxine fights to find herself and what she is capable of, she also has to fight to find what her heart most wants. As her gifts appear and surprise those around her, she gains the eye of those she doesn't want knowing of her. The human world and fae realms are in danger. It's up to them to save all and themselves. The characters are amazing in this book. The emotions are incredibly heartfelt and will have you torn. Who should Maxine choose? Someone will be heartbroken and in the end it could be Maxine. She's amazingly strong both emotionally and magically. I really connected with her character. I could feel her emotions from all directions. I was surprised at the length of this book. It's not short in any aspect is so full of events and the richness of a backstory while also telling the present day drama. Claudy Conn blends history with the present in such a way that you feel the druid and fae connection thoroughly and understand both worlds. It is the perfect start to an amazing series.

Let me be truthful I was a little leery about reading a book about the Fae. I truly had no knowledge of them and didn't know what to expect. Let me say right off what an idiot I was to be leery. By the time I finally read this series I had read Claudy Conn"s Shadow series, 2 Hungry Moon books and several of her regency romances an so I had to know they should be good. Well more like wonderful!!!I am totally addicted to this series and all her books with Fae's. So if you are like me and going "hey I don"t know anything about Fae" don't worry after reading this you too will want more and more and more. As i always say you never go wrong with Claudy Conn.
