    Fascinating take on Spinoza

Michael Della Rocca has provided a different interpetation on Spinoza's philosophy than scholars like Jonathan Bennett. Like Karl Jasper, I have thought Spinoza was far more subtle, and yes, even spiritual. The ferocity of the bigots of his time required Spinoza to be careful and clever. Whether you agree with this fine study of Spinoza's thought or not, it will make you take a hard look at your own opinions. What more could a person ask of an author?
