    more from this reviewer

A very entertaining and exciting read to exercise your mind!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Fracture. I could have given it a 5-star rating but I am one who believes that 5 stars should NOT be given lightly. There is something that would have produced a higher rating than 4 stars. I should have been longer. I know, I know, the intent was to write it as a Space-Opera. Similar to a television series. But, I like longer stories. The read passed through my shrunken head too fast.

The next in the series, Fragments, just finished downloading to my friend the Nook. Life is good again. Mr. LaLonde, thank you. I have enjoyed this series more than any other in recent years. Flynx, watch your 6... 8-)

    One more in the series.

I'm still working my way through all of the author's books about Freeground and the escapdes of Jonas/Jacob. I wonder as I read about the Eden cult if he merely made that up or is basing it upon some part of our society? The wars between conglomerates that extend to the Universe sounds slightly like some of the expansionist moves by present day governments. Where is Freeground? Can I escape there and fight against evil?

    Worst one yet

The story is good but the spelling and grammar continue to worsen. Only one character is supposed to have a British heritage, yet in this installment they all speak as if they are from current day England. With all the problems, this book is over priced.

    Ok

I've been with these books from the beginning. The first ones were great and sucked me into the story. Unfortunately, this book and the one before it are somewhat lacking. The main characters are becoming dumber instead of smarter over time. They make stupid decisions that no ranking military officer would ever make. The extened conversations and witty banter the characters have while in the middle of a firefight or other deadly situation is right out of a cheesy action movie. Of course i don't expect reality in a science fiction novel but this book was almost hard to read in some parts do to the idiocy of the characters. I'm frustrated and disapointed because i know this author can do much better. I'm hoping that he get's his mojo back in the next book.

    Action Packed !!!

Could use the efforts of a professional editor to tighten and smooth plotlines. Overall 5 stars for value.

More in the Spinward Fringe Series

The Spinward Fringe Broadcast series is just that...a series. Each book somewhat stands alone, but leaves things open to be continued in the next book. Not the best writing, perhaps, but keeps my interest and I am enjoying. The downside is waiting for the next installment in the series. Still, very worth reading for those with Sci Fi interest.

    Damn fine writing

Have enjoyed all of the Spinward Fringe books and look forward to more. Great characters and great situations...and usually a tie-back to something that happened earlier (sometimes MUCH earlier). Lalonde has built a great world and populated it with interesting personalities...and the whole thing is open-ended enough to keep him and his readers busy as long as he's able to turn out the pages.
