Sheila Clark-Edmands, M.S. Ed. has more than 35 years of experience in education, ranging from classroom teaching and school administration to undergraduate and graduate college instruction. Her deliberate and reflective teaching led to the development of the S.P.I.R.E.® reading intervention program. She has received numerous teaching awards and honors, and her work has been featured in the Wall Street Journal and many other publications.
Sheila's devotion to helping struggling readers attain reading success led her to develop S.P.I.R.E., which is based on the Orton-Gillingham approach. An engaging spreaker, Sheila is always eager to connect with fellow educators to discuss strategies for improving the academic success of all students.
