S.P.I.R.I.T. Firestorm starts with a bang and a fire, and the fireworks theme continues throughout the book. Samantha, the main character, finds herself dressed in strange clothes, standing near a church which is on fire and the last thing she can remember is that she went to bed hundreds of miles from where she is now.  Rescued from being trampled by panicked church goers by a handsome stranger, she is further dismayed to find that this town is a perfect replica of the town she grew up in.  When she discovers that, not only is the town similar, but also the house she grew up in and the people living there, she actually takes it with a calm I certainly would not have felt.

The immediate and extremely electrically charged fiery attraction between Samantha and Zander causes electrical disruptions and small fires to start whenever they get emotional or passionate.  Think Fire Starter in a really hot romantic relationship!  Then there is the military ghost-hunting group to which Zander belongs who don't quite know whether to see him and Sam, with their extraordinary powers, as an asset or a danger.

Although I thoroughly enjoyed this action-filled book, I found that the frequent romantic interludes between the main characters interfered with my concentration - a concentration which I needed to keep track of all the doubles in people, scenery and circumstances.  The characters were well-defined and easy to grow fond of; from the two main characters to the Military leader who conveniently always arrived just after the action had passed.  The well-constructed plot and continuous forward motion of the story kept me turning the pages and I found that the story had a bit of a lesson for those of us who still have ghosts to lay to rest or demons to face.

S.P.I.R.I.T Firestorm is a comfortably paced medium length book which I would recommend to all those who like paranormal romance.  There are even some thoroughly scary scenes in the story which you may not want to read after dark.   Because of adult content, I must warn that this book may not be suitable for readers under the age of eighteen. Other than the name I knew nothing of this book when I started reading it. I had picked it up as part of the publishers read and review book club. And I'm glad that I did.
Now maybe I have been stuck in the YA paranormal world for a little too long, but I assumed this was also a YA novel... oh I was wrong. This is definitely for adults which i discovered fairly quickly.

The story centres around Sam and Zander. One minute Sam is stood in her bedroom the next she is outside a church hundreds of miles away from home about to be trampled by a group of people fleeing a the burning building but rescued by Zander, who works for the military in the paranormal field. Who then tries to help her work out what happened to her.

The first couple chapters are a little confusing as there is very little back story, so you are not always aware of what's happening, but you are soon brought up to speed with your feet on the ground and running.... because this story does not let up. Yes there are a few moments when they are not out on the job and are tucked up inside 'exploring each other', but when they are working the story just motors along and drags the reader along with it. There is no putting this book down.

I love a story that starts with a bang…literally! This story has it all. Action, suspense, romance…and GHOSTS! Sam is no weak missy waiting around for some man to protect. Zander a hot man in a uniform...what’s not to like?! I haven’t found two characters I’ve enjoyed more in a while than Sam and Zander. Together they are smoking hot. With the help of Zander’s team they work to solve the mysteries of the strange town.
I could not put this book down. I love a good paranormal book and this one does not disappoint. This story is so full of twists and turns that I did not see coming it had me guessing until the end. It’s so different from any paranormal story I’ve read. I’m truly looking forward to the next installment.
    Well done Ms. Gray!

    Must read

From begining to end you are thrust into Sam's life. I loved being confused just like Sam was. When Zander lands a kiss on Sam you can't help but want to fight for them! This book will leave you wanting more. A must read that will make you yell, laugh, cry, and even blush.

    S.P.I.R.I.T. Fire Storm
    By: Dawn Gray

First I have to say “WHOA”!!! Author Dawn Gray, has truly blown my mind with her out of the gate action, sensuality and mysterious awe of her novel “S.P.I.R.I.T. Fire Storm”…… I am truly in love with solidifying bond through the interactions and dynamics of the main character’s “Sam and Zander”….. The on the edge suspense, plot line and the ongoing mystery of Sam…..

I felt as though I was In the middle of “the fantastic four” and “x-men”, with a side order of “I am number four”….. The surprises, that kept me reading on. I was enthralled from the very beginning of the first chapter, to the last page of the ending chapter….. I will read this over and over again…. Hoping that it comes in print copy, so that I may add it to my library…. An Absolute Must Read!!!!

Praise for “S.P.I.R.I.T. Fire Storm” a definite 5 STARS

Sadly I don't think I can give a very detailed review because It would give away to many spoilers.
The story starts off where you might think you have missed something but as you read further you realize
that one of the main characters is just as lost and thats the point and just the beginning! I feel a little lost though at the end
like I missed something but then again maybe that's just what we have to wait for and I am hoping to read it soon. It was a fast passed
story and one you have to pay attention to details or you will find yourself lost and having to go back and reread parts. Overall this was
what I consider a great read even if it's not my normal genre. Will be looking for the next book

    Captivating and addictive

My review of S.P.I.R.T Fire Storm by Dawn Gray

    5*

This book was provided free by the author in exchange for honest literary review.

Sam Ricketts wakes from one of the worst nightmares of her life only to see it isn't a nightmare. She has some how teleported herself to a town that is the mirror image of he hometown. The same hometown that she fled from years earlier dur to the hauntings and nightmares. Standing in a field watching a church on fire, Sam is swept off her feet by a handsome stranger.
Xander and Sam soon realize that theie meeting was no accident. In fact, the two of them soon find they cannot stand to be separated for any amount of time. He eases the fire in her eyes while she balances the storm inside of him. Now they must figure out how to unravel the questions surrounding their past to ensure they have a future together.

I have to say this storyline is way out of thr normal which is wonderful. Sam and Xander have a very very passionate love. I love the soulmate draw they have for one another. The author really places you in the novel itself with eerily discriptions. Her words paint vivid mind pictures that flow easily telling the story. She alsio tied all the loose ends up at the end so the reader walks away satisfied but still curious about the future dealings of these two !!!!! More than I ever expected. Cant wait for book 2!!!!!

I was given a chance to read and review this book. And let me say once you get past the first couple of chapters everything starts making sense. When I first started reading S.P.I.R.I.T. I was really confused, I thought Zander and Sam fell in love and into bed a bit to quickly. But then as I kept reading it all came together.
Firestorm is about ghosts and the paranormal, and a team of paranormal investigators that hunt them down. When Sam finds herself miles from home and has no recollection of how she got there. She kind of freaks out, but in the mist of it all she meets Zander who brings her back to his team and they start finding out that between the two of them they share a certain connection and a certain background along with powers they never knew they had.

If you enjoy a ghost story and a love coonection, then give this book a try.

I am in love with this book and not ashamed to say that I have

I am in love with this book and not ashamed to say that I have found a new book crush. Zander Smith is a member of the S.P.I.R.I.T Team (Special Paranormal Investigative Research Intelligence Team) and has a electrifying personality, the total swoon package. As he is on a mission, his path collides with Samantha Ricketts, who is hot as fire and has no idea how she got there and why. Zander vows to help her solve her mystery and soon finds that the two of them being drawn to each other in that moment was more than just a coincidence. As their journey begins, they feel as if they have a connection, one stronger than the elements, which is strange considering they just met, or is it? This storyline is filled with suspense, thrill, hot romance, and paranormal activity that is off the map. It had me on the edge of my seat, chills up and down my spine, covered in goosebumps. I couldn't put this book down, I had to know what happened next, page after page I found myself wanting more. I highly recommend this book to anyone that has the urge for a story that will blow you away. I can't wait to read more about The S.P.I.R.I.T Team and their ghostly adventures.

Great book 1 in a series highly recommend

S.P.I.R.I.T. Fire Storm by Dawn Gray was truly a great book.  The way she weaves the characters of Sam and Zander together in two parallel universes where in one universe they are unrequited and separated lovers by death and chance meeting brought the two together in a alternate universe.  The connection that the two had was very romantic and exciting.  How they were able to come together through very strange circumstances and not question what needed to be done and not completely freak out.  I asked the author about future books and she is working on book 2.  I will be looking forward to it and I give this book 5 stars and recommend that everyone leap on the Spirit.
