Overview

In the ancient time of wishtongues, wizards and talltalists, the Family Tanox and their evil Principles have cloaked their known world in darkness and death. But Zennan, an unlikely hero, emerges from a cave at the fringe of the Tanox Empire. He embarks upon an impossible quest to free his people of the Principles and their binding chains.

Newly crowned Ra-Tanox sends his Grand Black Sorcerer, the leader of his Scirocco horse soldiers, on yet another pillaging foray. He kidnaps Meeshannette, the daughter of a lowly villagefellow, as she leads a horse to Zennan to further his quest. Zennan promises a weeping father the safe return of his beautiful and impetuous daughter.

Inside the Castle Krog, the Grand Black Sorcerer informs Ra-Tanox that Meeshannette and an unknown warrior are the catalysts of a powerful transformation destined to destroy the Tanox Empire. Ra-Tanox scoffs: "These two, nor any child born of their coupling, could not possibly end my reign!" Ra-Tanox takes Meeshannette himself, a nightmare she only vaguely remembers. She soon escapes the castle's deepest dungeon and begins her own adventure, following her life's twisted destiny-a destiny intertwined with that of Zennan as they work together to end the Tanox reign of terror.
