At first I wasnt a fan and thought I wasted my money but after a few tries you begin to understand the controls and start getting better. This game has great graphics and a fun concept. A must have for your nook.

Finally on the nook and worth the wait. Unique gameplay, never the same game twice, retro graphics, excellent soundtrack. Pulse mode is my favorite, although all 3 modes are fun. Now I must get back to zapping pixels into oblivion :)

Kinds of reminds me of a combination of the old arcade games Asteroids & Tempest. Great retro graphics, music. Runs very stable on my Nook Tablet. Control of the Spirit is very responsive. Fun and addicting!

"Spirit" is a nice throwback to the vector graphic games of the 80's with just the right amount of modern pizzaz to make it seem new again. The game this is most similar to is a little known game Atari made called "Quantum" whose object was to wrap around geometric shapes in order to eliminate them. This game is easy to leatn but difficult to beat, a nice touch is that if your doing very well in a level, you are thrown new and tougher enemies.

I was suprised I've never heard about this Spirit game because it was sooo amazing and not too expensive. Now all of friends are addicted to this game! It took me only a few moments to get the hang of the game. Its designed really well and very cool and futuristic looking.
If you are even slightly considering buying Spirit... hesitate no longer because anyone and everyone should no doubt BUY THIS GAME!

I've had the game for about a week now. Impressive in so many ways! I'm not surprised that this originated in the iPhone/iPad ecosystem, as it really has a great slick and fluid feel and look to it. This touch-control arcade game involves rapidly guiding your small spirit icon around a hi-tech grid as you are pursued by various baddies. When you move, the spirit leaves a vapor trail in its wake, and when you circle around and connect the lines of your vapor trail, you create a "hole" in space-time that traps the baddies that are out to get you. There are plenty of baddies - slow, fast, smart, swarming, groups, shooting, etc. - so you'll be challenged right away as you proceed through the levels. A second type of gameplay, "pulse" involves touching moving, energized plasma balls that create a space-time hole when you make contact with them. In summary, regardless of your gameplay type, the goal is to clear the level of baddies by trapping them in the holes you create.
The game is quite fast-paced, with no real strategy, but plenty of lightning tactics. As with most touch control games, there may be a learning curve as you learn to control the spirit in a way where your finger doesn't obstruct the vision of your field.
The NC could use ALOT more games of this caliber. The graphics are exceedingly slick, the music is very fitting and atmospheric, and the game seems exceptionally well optimized for the NC and doesn't seem to suffer from lags or choppiness that many speedy arcade games seem to have on the NC. Major kudos to the developer for a job well done.

I had doubts of game based on reviews but it was cheap. The game is wonderfully addictive. It is entertaining as it is always different. The quality of graphics and movement is superb.
