I have not bought the book yet. I know Steve Hill personally as my husband & I were missionaries working in Chile. He, his wife & family were missionaries witht the Assemblies of God in
Argentina. My question for Steve is, we have had so much negative preaching in the past, a relligion without mercy. I for one am so blessed to know that God's steadfast love is never ceasing and what do we say about Psalm 138, which the Jews had to repeat : His mercy endureth forever? I am not saying we can have a "Carte Blanche" to just do whatever we wish to do or not heed the voice of the Holy Spirit. But since my husband passed away, after many years of fruitful ministry, I have struggled quite a bit with depression. I fight it constantly. The enemy would like; to attack my mind, sating that I am no good, that it is my fault my husband passed away. I fight it constatnly with the Word of God. I do not know if Steve will receive this comment, but I would like to know his take on what grace & mercy really mean to him.

While this book springboards from a dream that God gave Steve Hill, it's foundation is the Word of God. I learned of various levels of skiing, ski patrols, slopes, the content of snow, the danger of snow and skiers, and MUCH more. I learned how all this relates to me and the modern "Western" church. Best of all I learned TO LIVE FOR ETERNITY..and that being "intense" is not necessarily a bad thing. While I am not "close" to Steve and his wife, Jeri, my life has woven in and out of their ministry for dozens of years. What he writes is Fresh Truth for young and "more experienced".
Some quotes that grabbed my heart:
(1) "It is His love for man, His compassion...that prompts God to hate sin with such a vengeance. He gave Heaven's finest that we might have the best.."
(2)"God is the master of the meticulous..."
(3) "If what we are teaching and preaching from our pulpits today is actually a fresh word from God, then why is this nation falling into such disrepair?"
(4) "Becoming casual creates casualties.."
(5) "Pay close attention to the sign of the times. They have been posted for a purpose..."
(6) "...I have become known as a very intense man.."

I appreciate this sister 's (anonymous posted March 8, 2013) advice to Steve about grace & mercy. Preaching 'Hell-fire' messages are needed. Talking about all the problems are easy, everyone nobs their heads with you but tell the way out, the solution, work it in your church first, works with real sinners first. what Steve talks about is not new, it has been around since Jesus' days. But Jesus is the solution then and there and here and now. Why rush out just because you have a vision? Sit down under His feet and feel His Heart and His wisdom, let Him sent you out, don't go out yourself.
