About the Author

Caroline Young, MPH, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master of Public Health degree with an emphasis in health promotion. Her extensive public health background includes expertise in research, design, development, marketing, implementation, and evaluation of community health programs. She also has expertise in developing education and health promotion programs for culturally diverse populations, senior populations, and faith communities.

Cyndie Koopsen, RN, MBA, HN-BC, is a registered nurse with a certification in public health and holistic nursing and a Master of Business Administration degree. Her professional nursing career has involved caring for clients in many settings and from many walks of life. Cyndie has been involved in nursing leadership and administration, staff development and education, community education, and holistic care. In addition, she has managed large-scale clinical preventive programs and designed, developed, and presented clinical programs for multicultural audiences covering the entire spectrum of health promotion and disease prevention.
