    Terrific Terrifying Thriller

This book was absolutely Phenomenal! Alyssa has made her living as a "Scream Queen" in low-budget B-Rated Horror Flicks on the big screen! She even had a HUGE following of fans that adored her...but this has all vanished just as quickly as it came and now Alyssa is out for blood! This time for REAL and she'll do anything to get back at anyone that's even remotely crossed her!

Brandon Ford's writing style is magical! It's very easy to read - yet takes you far into the depths of all that the characters are feeling. There were times that I felt I was right there in the very room where all of the action was happening! A page-turner in every sense of the word! (As a matter of fact, I was turning pages until 4 a.m.) No lie!

If you love thrillers, horror movies and gore galore, this is the book and the author for you! I can't wait to pick up Crystal Bay (even though it was written first)! Brandon is a Philadelphia local and a B-Horror movie lover himself! This book is sort of his tribute or "love letter" to his favorite scream queens in the business!

    A Scream Queen Dedication!

Alyssa Peyton has made a living with her screams of terror in horror films created to instill shock and fear in its audience. Her career was envied; she married well and for a short time lived lavishly. However, good things never last and when it all falls apart so does she. To cope she indulges in pills and alcohol. Soon she comes to a point of no return and suddenly others scream in terror as dead bodies begin to stack up.

Brandon has written and dedicated his book to all the Scream Queens of the horror industry and he has done them proud! Splattered Beauty is an excellent read and not for the faint of heart. If you love the slasher films, if you don't turn away from the blood and gore on the screen you will love this splatter fest as Alyssa takes revenge on all who have dared to cross her. I highly recommend this book. It is a great read, especially late at night when you are all alone! Just don't forget to lock those doors!

    I Also Recommend:

Splattered Beauty: The rise and fall of a scream queen...

The time is 9:51, I had just finished reading Brandon Ford's second horror novel, Splattered Beauty and I must tell you, Brandon did one hell of a job writing this novel that is dedicated to all of the Scream Queens of the horror industry. The author even wrote a foreward telling his readers he had dedicated this book to all of his favorite Scream Queens. The book felt like I was reading what would have turned out to be one hell of a horror movie. The characters were real, the story itself had a life of its own. We don't often read about what happens to the lives and careers of those actresses who portrays the helpless victim stalked by a crazed and homicidal killer, which is also known as a slasher, well in Splattered Beauty, the slasher is in the form of Alyssa Peyton. Some may consider her a washed up actress who can't seem to find a decent role in her acting career. She wants to make a name for herself but the only scripts and roles that seem to come her way are for porn films.

Alyssa had everything but that seemed to have gone down the drain. She has become self loathing, she turns to booze and drugs and she begins to hate and become this cold and maniacal person. Before all of that she meets a fan named Taryn who has seen every movie Alyssa has ever starred in. Taryn comes from a dysfunctional home, just like that of Alyssa. Alyssa has a father who would beat her constantly every night with a belt. Taryn has a very religious mother who does not approve of the type of lifestyle Taryn wants to live. So Taryn decides to live with Alyssa.

Alyssa then gets news that a new writer/director wants to see her and wants to have her in a new horror film called Splattered Beauty which is the fitting title of the novel. I don't want to give too much away. There is madness, there is blood, there is death and there is lesbian action. What more can you ask for in a horror novel? The characters are well developed and there is quite a lot of emotional turmoil that goes on within the pages, the lives of Alyssa and Taryn begin to spiral down, as Alyssa becomes more and more deranged and violent. The kills were brutal and this is one book that should be read if you are a fan of the horror genre and ever wanted to see what would happen to a Scream Queen who goes through despair and madness. I would rate this book ten stars. Brandon Ford has once again delivered one hell of a novel. Be on the lookout for this writer, he has one hell of a career ahead of him.

    Excellent read!!

Once again, Brandon Ford gives readers a ride on the wild side. While on this ride, I found myself completely absorbed and was not able to put the book down until I completed it. Readers are given a glimpse into the life of an actress who is absolutely full of pain and torment, and as a result, she becomes involved in acts of insanity. Brandon Ford magically weaves the story such that the reader knows and feels the characters' pain and actually ends up being caught between being horrified at and feeling sorry and empathetic for the main character. Brandon Ford, once again, displays his creative story-telling talent.
