Meet the Author

Laura Diaz de Arce (1987-Present) was born and raised in South Florida by two immigrants. In 2011 she graduated from the University of Florida and is currently pursuing her masters in Literature at Florida Atlantic. She hates writing small auto biographies because she finds them awkward and pretentious. Splitting Seams is her first major project, and although her focus is fantasy she also dabbles in other genres. Expect more to come.

Mary O’Neill enjoys drawing playgrounds and adventuring in her backyard. Her favorite book is Nicholas Nickleby and her favorite tea is either Irish Breakfast or Jasmine. She once held a real job for eight days before leaving to play in a library. Currently, she spends her days wondering when she’s going to attend grad school in between straightening bookshelves and illustrating Splitting Seams.

This book is a beautifully written and illustrated story which is great for a fun and quick read. I have read the book a few times and after reading the preview of the second book cannot wait until it arrives. Definitely worth a try.
