Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
Sponges are the soft skeletons of animals that once lived in water. Since a sponge is stationary, all of its food comes from the water that flows through its pores. Natural sponges come in a variety of shapes and colors, but not all of them are harvested for human use. After sponges are harvested, they then must be dried, a process that kills the animal life. This is another informative and well-done entry in the "Let's-Read-and-Find-Out Science" series (Stage 2).
