Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Susie Wilde
With simple words, directions and illustrations, kids can learn to spook friends with over twenty illusions. Good luck keeping this out of the hands of curious older brothers and sisters!
Ilene Cooper
The title says it all. Each shor chapter contains one trick with instructions that really are easy to read and to understand. The tricks include such old favorites as messages in invisible ink, disappearing coins, a phantom finger, and even a floating body. The pictures help illustrate the tricks and feature kids in costumes--vampires, witches, ghosts, and werewolves abound (the authors credit young friends in their New York apartment as their inspiration). Although this was first published in 1968, it is sure to be popular today, especially with the new pictures by S. D. Schindler.
