Purpose: The purpose is to provide step-by-step video demonstrations of frequently used taping techniques. Each technique is presented in a simple way that is easy to understand.
Audience: This is designed as an initial teaching tool for entry-level professionals and as a technique review for experienced practitioners. The DVD does a good job of mixing in basic procedures with advanced procedures in a step-by-step demonstration medium. The author is an authority in the field of athletic training, especially with regards to taping and bracing methodology.
Features: The 32 taping techniques are presented in simple, easy-to-follow video demonstrations. The DVD provides step-by-step instructions and a thorough review of each technique. Kinesiology taping techniques and strap taping techniques are welcome additions. Demonstrations using Power Tape and other specialty tapes should be considered for future editions.
Assessment: This is a thorough, yet easy to navigate and understand educational tool for both entry-level and experienced practitioners. The additions of kinesiology taping and strap taping demonstrations to this edition are welcome and needed.
