Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Trina Heidt
Young sports fans interested in the statistical aspect of sports will appreciate this reference book. The editors of Sports Illustrated have compiled the very latest stat lists (2006-2007) for teams, standings, and athletes (men and women) at both the college and professional levels. The major sports included are baseball, football, basketball, hockey, soccer, and golf. Also included are action sports such as BMX, snowboarding, skateboarding, swimming, track and field, and the Olympics. They have also listed records related to each sport, all-time stats, and award winners, as well as short athlete bios and trivia. It is, not surprisingly, very straightforward in its presentation of list after list of numbers. It is strictly for the hardcore fan interested in comparing performance levels of teams and athletes using hard data. Reviewer: Trina Heidt
