Meet the Author

Merrill Reese has been the Hall of Fame play-by-play voice of the Philadelphia Eagles since 1977. The games are aired by CBS stations 94 WYSP and Sportsradio 610 WIP as well as a network of affiliates throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. Reese and New England Patriots broadcaster Gil Santos have the longest stretches of service in the NFL. Merrill resides in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, with his wife Cindy. Their son Nolan is a film editor in Hollywood, California, and their daughter Ida is a graphic designer in New York. Reese is an avid golfer and competes in numerous charity tournaments. He is the celebrity chairman of the Terri Lynne Lokoff Child Care Foundation. He is also the honorary chairman of the Bucks County March of Dimes. In addition, he has worked with the Spina Bifida Foundation, Toys for Tots, Habitat for Humanity, the Eagles Youth Partnership, and the Eagles Fly for Leukemia.
