Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
A familiar character to many children, Spot is off to the library. He lets readers know that it is his favorite place to be and that he is just in time for story hour with all of his friends. When it is over Spot must decide which books to take home. He has a rather large pile and is looking forward to reading them with his dad. Spot knows that he can always go back to the library for more books. The message about libraries and reading is excellent, especially in the age of electronic gadgetry. The illustrations are bright and bold and offer an opportunity to point and discuss items on each page. For kids who read and also have access to a computer, they can visit Fun with Spot at www.funwithspot.com. So in essence I guess you can have your cake and eat it (read and also use the computer for more fun and activities.) Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot
