Willowpaw was squirming in bed. Then her ice-blue eyes popped open.Where was she?Oh yes home in Riverclan.Next to her nest Mintpaw was growing himself."Hello Mintpaw"Willowpaw meowed."Hi Willowpaw! It's good to have you back!."He replied."it's good to be back!"said Willowpaw as she went to the fresh-kill pile.Amberleaf padded over and said,"when your finished eating we'll go to the river and I'll show you how to fish. Then later, provided it doesn't rain,we'll do battle practice. How does that sound?"Willowpaw happily replied,"that sounds perfect!"then she scrambled to the fresh-kill piland grabbed a nice juicey mouse(Riverclan learned how to catch forest prey because a lot of their teritorry is now forest)After Willowpaw ate she padded over to mentor."Lets go!***Willowpaw slid her paw in to flick out the fish...and missed."Willowpaw!Thats the third time you missed!"came Amberleaf's annoyed cry. Then Willowpaw jumped in and grabbed a fish! She slamed her paw on it to kill it then she looked back at her mentor."Good!"Amberleaf exclaimed"lets get back o camp cause it's gonna rain"***Back at camp,Willowpaw was sheltering with Mintpaw, his littermate troutpaw,a she-cat named fernpaw and Oakpaw. They were talking and joking.Willowpaw noticed that Oakpaw kept looking shyly at Fernpaw"Have you got a crush?"She hissed into his ear.Oakpaw jumped and stammered"N-no!"Then Troutpaw looked outside to see it was dark"Guys it's time to go to sleep.oh and you to fernpaw."Willowpaw sank into her nest and fell asleep imeditally.End of chapter eight
