Zoey and the gang have big plans for spring break. They have been invited to vacation at Logan's mansion. While the group expects lots of lounging around, they find that they have really been invited to test a new reality show that pits boys against girls in tests of brawn and brains. Who will win? Will they still be friends afterwards? Will Chase ever confess his feelings to Zoey? If this sounds like a TV show, you are right. This book is based on the Nickelodeon show Zoey 101, a show geared primarily toward preteens and early teenagers. The book is essentially another episode in the series. While this does not make for quality reading, it is a hook for students who would much rather watch TV than read. The text is easy to understand and the story line easy to follow. If you know someone who watches the show, they will probably jump on this book. It will make a good independent read for struggling students also. Other than those two functions, it is only an okay book.
