My favorite character in this book was Squanto, because he helped the pilgrims. I liked the part of the book when Squanto sees the white men face to face. Squanto gets invited to London but his mother was sad. When he was at London people stared at him and were afraid of him. The captain made an Indian show. But he wanted to go home to his tribe. When he went home his tribe was gone!!!

It was very interesting. I learned about Squanto's life, indians, and pilgrams. The book was a great adventure.

This book is a old classic! (The best kind)  I purchased a classroom set and used them every year.  My 5th grade students would not stop reading this book when we had to move on to another subject.  I would then have to confiscate the book until the next reading session!  Bulla's sequel, Johnny Billi ngton, Friend of Squanto is definitely a must to follow Squanto! 90% of my students are Arabic!!  You can't go wrong with either book. Don't miss it.
