Before beginning to read this book I was a little worried that I would like it. But as the chapters progress through all her foundings, one by one, I was able to see a Teresa I had not seen before. It amazed me all the hardships and trials with others that she had to go through in order to open new houses for her Community of Carmelites...and how well she seems to have persevered through even the most taxing scenarios. By the end of the book I was marveling at how much she had accomplished over her lifetime and how she grew through her trials. I certainly don't think I could have persevered as well without quitting early-on. Most of my Secular Carmelites who studied this book with me were pleasantly surprised by this book and were glad we had read and discussed it. CC, o.c.d.s.Was this review helpful?
