Also, readers will see how sniping has evolved on the civilian side in law enforcement. Readers will learn about the tools of the trade, but most importantly, they will hear from the experts themselves: military snipers, as well as civilian police and SWAT snipers. Capturing the suspense and action of the hunt, the words of these men draw readers into the close-knit, little-known world of men who need only one bullet to get the job done.

    Excellent Book

Dockery expertly gives you the complete story of how sniping started and how it evolved down thru history. The origin of the word sniper is quite interesting as well. He includes police sniper accounts of how they perceive their job and what it means to be a police sniper. There are several of these and this is where the book drags because the officers describe the same issues and perspective. Same for the military snipers. He did not need to provide this many. Other than that I highly recommend this book if you more than a passing interest in the subject matter.
