Editorial Reviews

Publishers Weekly
06/16/2014
Finch's undistinguished crime debut introduces Det. Sgt. Mark "Heck" Heckenberg, currently attached to Britain's National Crime Group. The sole officer assigned to a case involving 38 missing women and stymied by a lack of official support, Heck is infuriated when he discovers the investigation is slated to be shut down. Forced to go on leave, Heck launches his own unauthorized inquiry. Assisted by ex-soldier Lauren Wraxford, whose sister is among the vanished, Heck discovers the existence of the "Nice Guys Club," a criminal enterprise that supplies rape victims for their well-to-do clients. Once the depraved clients are sated, the victims are murdered. Moreover, the conspiracy appears to extend to senior levels of the National Crime Group itself. This attempted thriller is sabotaged by subpar prose and a plot that claims to critique violence against women but instead exploits it for the reader's entertainment. (Aug.)

    Get a LIFE!

Why is it so difficult for reasonably intelligent people to comprehend the purpose of a book review site is to REVIEW A BOOK !!! After reading the reviews of this book all I found was utterly ridiculous and completely absurd banter that most two year olds would find foolish! Maybe you could play your imbecilic games on a social media more appropriate for that type of idiocy and allow a book review site to be utilized for its intended purpose. In other words grow up and get a life you pathetic people who have most likely never even completed a book in your childish life. Authors work diligently to deliver a good book to those who enjoy reading them and deserve a site dedicated to discuss those works! Also is there anyway that Nook could possibly monitor the content of these reviews so that those customers who actually buy and spend their money can use this site in a meaningful way without vulgarity or idiocy?
