Living a solitary life on her family's island, she's a great asset to her family of assassins. Unfortunately, the family that kills together also meddles together, and when Missi's mom decides her daughter's life is a little too solitary, she packs Missi off the Costa Rica for an undercover assignment on a low-budget Survival reality TV show. Amidst the ridiculous challenges, tribal voting, and late-night sneaking to the nearby resort, Missi finds herself not only scoping out her family's latest target, but also Lex Danby, the hottest contestant on the island. But Missi's hormones get put on the back burner when someone starts sabotaging the show...and Missi is squarely in the sights of the deadly culprit.

    a zany affair

Widow Missi Bombay raises her teenage twin sons with the help of her family. She is also Miss Gadget maker for the family business that keeps the Bombay enterprise of paid assassins in the black and their rivals in red.------------------ However, Missi¿s mom is worried about her daughter¿s all work and no fun lifestyle if she is not doing something for the kids she is doing something for the business. Mom signs up Missi to attend a poor person¿s reality show in Costa Rica ¿Survival¿ and eliminate alleged arms dealer, Isaac Beckett. On the show, she meets former stuntman Lex Danby who is part of her 'tribe'. However, as Missi¿s weapons¿ construction skills give her side a major advantage, someone is trying to destroy the show though no motive surfaces. -------------------- The third Bombay satire (see 'SCUSE ME WHILE I KILL THIS GUY and GUNS WILL KEEP US TOGETHER) is a zany affair as Leslie Langtry assassinates reality TV shows. The story line is as always way out as Missi and family go about their business as paid assassins the family that kills together stays together. Fans of the Bombay brood will enjoy their latest escapades as the audience will stand by their hit-woman.----------------- Harriet Klausner

Not what it is listed as

I bought Stand by your hitman and instead got 36 pages of chapter 13 in a psychology textbook. With no way to be refunded and no one to really file a complaint with I am more than upset.

    Witty and Hilarious

Leslie Langtry continues her Hilarious and witty series, about the Bombay family of assassins. This is the third book in the series, all of these books are smart and laugh out loud funny! Being a hit-family could not be more entertaining, inventive and tongue in cheek funny. Missi Bombay is the family inventor, she creates it all, tic tacs that can take out a cartel, stroke inducing panty hose, Jell-O bullets and tattoos that are permanent until you use her solution. She is on her way to Costa Rica to participate in an undercover assignment on a reality show. Missi is definitely a survivor and you will not want to miss this book or any of the others in this series.
Make your book club adventures fun, you wont regret this series.

    Great book and series!

I really enjoyed this book. Its a quick read, but entertaining all throughout.
My one issue was- did anyone else notice there seemed to be the editors notes typed in some parts? Or did i just get a special copy? At first i thought it was Missi talking in her mind, but im sure thats not the case.

    so, so, FUNNY !

I hope Leslie keeps writing about this zany family. I've enjoyed every one of her books in this series. I'll be reading and start laughing, there are so many funny things going on in her stories. Stand by Your Hit Man has to be one of my favorites so far but I've said that after each of the other stories after reading it. Please keep the stories coming about the other family members.
