This book had a great concept, pirates and aliens with a pirate

This book had a great concept, pirates and aliens with a pirate captain from 1693 captured by aliens. The first few chapters are about the main character's capture and how he manages to convince them that he's intelligent and then winds up saving their lives when they're attacked by an alien pirate starship. He then becomes a member of the pirate ship's crew. The real fun starts with the star pirate deciding to return to Earth only it's the 21st century. Now Jack is a square peg in a round hole where his knowledge being more advanced than current technology and his 17th century view of people, puts him in dangerous and funny situations. There are villains, both human and alien and a cross-country chase as the star pirate tries to get get back into space. This book had non-stop action and an exciting climax. I really enjoyned it.

An adventure comedy romance romp through time and space. Finally

An adventure comedy romance romp through time and space. Finally a tale without all the dark brooding
of most modern stories mixed with a fine sprinkling of romance, action and good old fashioned laughs. Well done Mr. Berman!
