Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Susan Hepler
Wandering back in time, the babies Angelica and Tommy meet the childhood equivalents of George Washington, Ben Franklin, Betsy Ross, Sam Adams and Benedict Arnold as they try to make Angelica own up to throwing a pinecone so that George won't have to wear the dunce cap. Black line drawings appear every three or four pages. Plenty of references to Revolutionary-era history (both stereotyped and real) will go right over the heads of the intended audience. Basically just an extended chase, the story relies on children's knowledge of the popular television cartoon show but without the visual element. This third book in the "Rugrats Chapter Book" series falls flat on the floor.
