'Fallen Heroes' authored by Dafydd ab Hugh is quite possibly the best DS9 fiction ever written. I don't consider myself a major Trek fan, but this novel had me absolutely enthralled. It's a dark somber tale full of courage in the face of a no-win situation. 'Fallen Heroes' is not your average Trek book where everything is all honkey-dorey within the first hundred or so pages; and this is the ONLY Trek book in my library that I've worn ragged. I recommend this novel not only to DS9 and Trek fans, but to Sci-Fi buffs in general.
