This CD, to me, is totally awesome. To that guy that wrote a review about a complete Trek 2 CD, why are you giving it 5 stars if, to you, it needs improvement and how would you know that every track would be complete magic, sure, The Motion Picture was completed and was better for it but I don't know. I think that this CD is great and that all Trek fans or fans of great music should give this a try.

I have begun a petition to have a complete score released for James Horner's scores to the Star Trek films The Wrath of Khan and The Search for Spock. I ask that you please sign the petition in the hope that GNP Crescendo will catch on and make this release a reality. The film score community has been vocal in the past in getting certain soundtracks released. Obviously, without support from the fans, they would never have been released. I hope that with enough signatures, this can become true as well. www.petitiononline.com/sthorner/petition.html Please take this petition seriously, and sign with your real name (and e-mail address if you wish). It carries meaning only if you legitimately want the score to be presented in its entirety.

Horner's lucid melodies and sweeping orchestral arrangements possess a sense of genuine danger and malice long absent from Star Trek's musical backdrop, climaxing in the profoundly emotional catharsis of "Spock." His efforts lend Trek creator Gene Roddenberry's vision a newfound ...
