On the surface, it seems like just another routine contract for Boba Fett and his Mandalorian commandos, but the mystery client who hires them to start a small war is more dangerous than any of them can possibly imagine. When the Yuuzhan Vong invasion force sweeps into the galaxy, the Mandalorians find they’re on the wrong side–fighting for an alien culture that will bring about the end of their own.

Now Fett has to choose between his honor and the survival of his people. Since he’ s a practical man, he’s determined help the resistance beat the Yuuzhan Vong–even if it means working with a Jedi agent. Trouble is, no one trusts a man with Fett’ s reputation. So convincing the New Republic that they’re fighting on the same side is a tall order. Denounced as traitors, Fett’s Mandalorians need to stay one step ahead of their Yuuzhan Vong paymasters–and the Republic who sees them as collaborators with the most destructive enemy the galaxy has ever faced. . . .

    Short, but good.

Worth the price. Lots of Star Wars action. Some good bounty hunter espionage and similar themes. The only downside is that I feel like there was more to the story when it ended. I have no idea which book to but next in order to pick up the story where this one left off.

    Boba's Back!

A Practical Man, while short, was an enjoyable read. It is a tie-in with a Star Wars series. I am a die-hard Star Wars, Boba Fett, and Karen Traviss fan-thus, this book is perfect for me! It was well-written, has a developed plot, and key characters to keep the story rolling! *Also, it has a few touching moments* I strongly recommend this book! =)

    Fun story, but meh

It was fun reading the story, but Karen Traviss really needs to stop thinking that Mandalorians are the end-all-be-all in Sci Fi. I mean really, Boba Fett is having his people work with the villains only so they can betray them later?
    Overall, meh.

    Entertaining

Some nice background on Fett by the foremost Mandalorian author. Read her other books and short stories if you want to read more about them and if you don't mind deviating from post-Clone Wars cartoon canon.
