This book is a great book and I think I would recommend this book to all children of all ages. Parents I think if your kids haven't seen a Star Wars movie I don't think you should let your kids read this book.

My 7 1/2 year old son just recently became interested in reading Star Wars books. His favorites include Volume 1 & 4 from episode 3 Revenge Of The Sith. I knew my son was a good reader but I am thoroughly impressed! I just recently looked these books up online & saw that the recommended age group for these books is ages 11-14. WOW... I AM SO PROUD of my son right now! I plan on continuing to nurture his love for reading & will be buying him a good amount of these Star Wars books that he's been enjoying from the library so much lately! I feel that this will be the perfect Christmas gift to give my son this year. From: A PROUD MOM

This happens 3 years after the events of the attack of the clones, and also 3 years that Anakin Skywalker was secretly married to Padme. The Chancellor Palpatine has been kidnapped by the evil General Grevious, and the Jedi send to Jedi Knights, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker to rescue the the captured Chancellor. They suceed but they had to have an intense lightsaber duel with the powerful Sith Lord, Count Dooku(a former jedi master that turned to the darkside) and Anakin did something against the jedi code(killed a defensless prisoner by cutting Dooku's head of with his and the Counts lightsaber). But Obi-Wan and Anakin failed to capture the sinister General Grevious, but they make it safely back to Coruscant with the Chancellor. Anakin later learns that Padme is pregnant(but he doesn't know that she has twins) and has visions of her dying during child birth, and he doesn't want to lose like he lost his mother(in Star Wars 2:Attack of the Clones). Then the Jedi start thinking that the dark side is influencing the Chancellor(who is a sith lord named Darth Sidious who has made the Clone Wars take place and has decieved the galaxy)that they should arrest the Chancellor after General Grevious is destroyed if he doesn't give up his powers(which he doesn't). Then when Chancellor Palpatine appoints Anakin to be his personal representative on the Jedi Council Anakin is thrilled, until the Jedi Council doesn't make him a Jedi Master, which makes him furious. Then they let Yoda(the most respected Jedi in the galaxy at this time) go to lead the clone troopers to the wookie planet of Kashyyk to fight the droid army there, and even more mad when they send Obi-Wan to go to the Utapah system to find and defeat the evil cyborg General Grevious but Anakin must stay because he is the Chancellors representative on the Jedi Council, but Anakin thinks that the Jedi Council isn't being fair because they don't trust him(and they don't, except Obi-Wan). The Chancellor(Darth Sidious) expliots the young Jedi's anger and turns him to the dark side by tricking him that the Jedi are evil, and that he can help him save Padme(which is true). Anakin listens and becomes a sith named Darth Vader and kills the Jedi in the Jedi Temple, and Darth Sidious sends a message telling the clone trooper commanders to kill their Jedi Generals, and only Obi-Wan and Yoda survive(there are others but you don't see them in this book). Then Obi-Wan must fight Anakin his former apprentice and friend, now corrupted by the dark side and has become Darth Vader, in a ferocious lightsaber duel regarding Padme, and at the end of the intense lightsaber battle, Obi-Wan leaves a crippled burning Anakin on a lava bank on Mustafar, his legs cut off at the knees and he lost his last normal arm from the elbow. Meanwhile Yoda has an intense lightsaber duel with Darth Sidious, and loses. After they Obi-Wan and Yoda go seperate ways, Yoda to the forgotten planet of Dogobah, Obi-Wan to Anakin's homeworld Tatooine with the baby Luke, and Senator Bail Organa took Leia to the planet Alderran. And the galaxy awaits the return of the Jedi.

I have never read a star wars book and decided to buy this. This is one of the best books I have ever read. The fall of the jedi is compelling and sad but it is a true adventure and you will love this book.

If you are looking towards EP3 RotS then this will tell you what happeneds in the movie. Even though the movie is in your hands it is still a very good book to read and believe me you will enjoy it.
