Overview

How did Princess Leia and the Rebels get the plans for the Death Star? Just what was so dangerous about Beggar's Canyon? What compelled Princess Leia, of the peaceful planet Alderaan, to join the Rebellion? How did Artoo-Detoo and See-Threepio evade Imperial stormtroopers while Luke Skywalker and Ben Kenobi were in the Mos Eisley cantina? What kept money-hungry Han Solo from double-crossing Luke and Ben? How did Leia withstand Darth Vader's hideous torture method? What were Grand Moff Tarkin's secret plans for the Death Star? In the original radio dramatization script, you'll find the answers to these questions and many others - as you discover new scenes and facts and relive the excitement of the original Star Wars adventure. But there's also another adventure: the story of the dramatization itself. A behind-the-scenes introduction by the script's author, Brian Daley, will take you into the recording studio with Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, and others - where weeks of creative give-and-take and intense on-the-spot rewriting produced the Star Wars dramatization heard by thousands. This original script, with dialogue never heard on the air, is the missing chapter in the history of a tale that began a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

Ever since the original hit movie, Star Wars has spun off all kinds of media successes--including a hugely popular National Public Radiotization. Now, the complete, original scripts of that dramatization are available for the first time. Brian Daley presents authentic storyboard art and production sketches, a behind-the-scenes look at the series' evolution, and more.

A Better Hope For the Galaxy

The Imperial Star Destroyer and the Tantive IV have a battle over Tatooine. C-3PO and R2-D2 manage to escape. They get sold to Owen Lars. R2-D2 escapes and Luke finds Ben Kenobi helping him get up. They go to the Mosisely Cantina and get Han Solo as their pilot. They get attacked by two Imperial Star Destroyers but they manage to escape by going into hyperspace. Princess Leia gets captured and sees the Death Star destroy her home planet of Alderran. The Millennium Falcon which is Hans¿s ship gets pulled in by the Death Stars tractor beam. They escape a while later while being in disguise and killing people. Ben dies in a saber duel and Luke is sad. They go to a Rebel Base and get ready to destroy the Death Star. A lot of Rebels die but it gets blown up. Luke is the one who blows up the Death Star with the help of Han Solo. I like that Ben dies because I like the Empire. I hate that the Death Star got blown up because it was a cool machine. I like that Darth Vader Kills Ben. It is a part of a series. You should read previous books. Reminds me of the Movie A New Hope. If you like Star Wars you would like this book.
