A novel that matches the quality of the original film in almost every way.

The amazing stories that George Lucas had masterfully created had been brought to life in our imaginations with the Star Wars Radio Drama. The added dialoge to the story adds a more in-depth understanding into the Star Wars Universe. A truly AWESOME adventure!

Even though a New Hope is Episode IV, we all remember this as the first. If you read this book closely, it sets up the stories that followed even the prequels. I just bought this in hardcover (had the paperback for yrs) Well worth the $$. It's great having all the books now in hardcover. What a wonderful series to read over & over & introduce & share with younger generations. By far the best.

'Better than the movie' is how my 10-year old son described this outstanding dramatization of the Star Wars tale. The sound effects were as stunning as the movie and helped to paint a clear picture in our minds of everything that was happening. This was a great way to alleviate the boredom on a long car trip. We had to rush out and buy the others.

Mark Hamill (luke skywalker's real name, when not acting) is awesome in the movies, and awesome in this book. Even though, personally, I like the movies better, this still is a great book. I could totally picture Chewie, Han, Leia and Luke in the Death Star's trash compactor:)
