Review by an 8 year old jedi knight.

I am a big fan of Jedi Apprentice. I really like The Shattered Peace and recommend it because it shows how people can work together. My favorite Jedi Apprentice books are: 1,3,4,7,8,9 and 10. The books I like least are 2, 5 and 6. I enjoy Jedi Apprentice books and only wish they came out more frequently. Keep up the good work Jude! Obi-Wan rules! ~JCB

    Change Of Pace

Lightsabers are arguably one of the finest inventions/adaptations that science fiction has created. It is also true that they can be used as weapons, but that is as a last resort. Physical confrontation, combat, is never preferable, defense is first, offensive use the last and most regrettable of options. This 10th episode will not please action fans. In truth there is more of that brand of event in the preview that is included for episode 11 ¿The Deadly Hunter¿. The character that is introduced but not named is interesting, is this her first appearance, or not? Unfortunately again, a wait is required. The irony of this series is that the premises by which the Jedi conduct themselves are often more consistent than other books, or even the films. In this book Jude Watson stays very close to the concepts of peace, restraint, patience, and control of anger. I enjoy a good saber fight as much as the next fan. Obi-Wan VS. Maul was a classic that will be hard to match, but the necessity of the fight was plain, there was no other opportunity, no alternative. I did think the book was a bit slow, but put it in the perspective of THE JEDI Master Yoda the book is perfect. When has he used violence, when has he ever drawn a saber, does he even have one? These books are for all fans even though directed at younger readers. The messages they teach are positive, and as always it is Yoda who sets the mission, and whose ¿voice¿ guides the actions of his Knights. There is more to these books than some give credit for, and there are those that will think I take them too seriously. However when reviewing what is published for the consumption of Children, these books surpass much of their competition. It is this age group that begins reading on their own. As always, due to the fact that Star Wars has transcended one generation to the next, the book also leaves common ground between those of us who were there when Episode IV opened, as well as those for whom Episode I was their start. Not action packed, but fairly well done, and the teaser for the next looks very promising.

    WHAT HAPPENED TO THE STORYLINE???

I think that The Shattered Peace could be better. It was a great but it could be improved. Until chapter six, I was clueless. I was LOST!! Then I picked it up and figured it out. Good book in the end.

Star Wars: Jedi Apprentice #10: The Shattered Peace

Obi-Wan is NOT CUTE!!!! I have seen a lot of reveiws that say he is, but he's not! Besides CUTE is not the word I would use anyway! O-Lana is cute, Honi is cute, Bu is cute. But I have to say Obi-Wan is not! Though I do like the books I wish everyone woould quit saying he's cute! |,(

Star Wars: Jedi Apprentice #10: The Shattered Peace

Yes it is the same Obi-Wan, and yes he is still 13 years old!!!! Wow!!! He has been through the terrors of Memory Wiping, the mystery of Gala, the devestation of Melida/Daan, the near destruction of his home, nearly getting himself killed on Telos, getting trapped in a twisted school, and now getting stuck in the center of two planets on the verge of civil war!!! Strong he is Yes mmmmm! :)

Star Wars: Jedi Apprentice #10: The Shattered Peace

This book was great, it was funny and exciting and defatetly misterious! But how does Qui-Gon always guess what's happening?! He was waaaaaaaaay ahead of Obi-Wan at every turn, though Obi-Wan certainly proved his worth too! For instance I think that trying to get arrested would have been a whole lot harder without his being a 'wise guy' :)!!

Star Wars: Jedi Apprentice #10: The Shattered Peace

To those of you who believe Watson writes too slow, think again!! Have you even seen how slow Harry P. is to come out? It's not Watson, it's the Publishing Company. As a matter of fact the Harry P. series is completly written, just no published. So don't blame Watson, I'd bet that she's already on #23.

    Hooked on this book!!

I have read this book, well over a least 5 times or more!! This is a great book. Obi-wan doses not want to share his feelings with Qui-gon beacuse he is a afaid it will remind him of his choice on Melida/Daan. This is a hit book. I can't wait to till #11 comes out.

    Jedi Apperentice

I think the Jedi Apperentice books are great. One of the reasons is I am a fan a Star Wars ( Obi-Wan is my favorite), so it is interesting to know what happens before Episode 1. I hope jude Watson keeps writing these books.
