THE Best JA Apprentice Book of all Time!!!!!!!!

I feel this is the best of the JA series. My favourite character is Cerasi, who shows she is already a natural leader at a young age. Too bad she suffers a cruel fate. I wish I could have fought alongside The Young in their heroic battle for peace against The Elders. Anyways, The plot is that Obi-Wan & Qui-Gon are trying to stop a bloody civil war on the planet of Melida/Daan. They are also trying to rescue Tahl, a captured Jedi. While there, they meet The Young, a group of teenagers who are desperately attempting to stop the war. Jedi are never supposed to take sides, but Obi-Wan falls for The Young. In the end he must make a choice, The Young or the Jedi Order...

A life without Qui-Gon they have to be kiding

This book is like the best cliff hanger they can make. The only thing is is that you know Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan will get back toghter. It's in the movies.

This one is even better than #4(which I did a review on) I can really relate to Obi-Wan and the struggles he goes through. Any star wars fan will love this. I can't wait to read the next one! Read this if you haven't, it's great! Fantastic job Jude!

    HMMM????

I thought I had already wrote a review, but it didn't show up, so here we go. This is the first book to what I call a Mini-series. This story instead of starting a mission at the begging of the book and ending the mission at the end, it contiues through the next three books. This was a hard time to wait. I know what you others are feeling! For those who haven't read this yet, YOU MUST!

    Absolutely Thrilling

In my opinion this has to be one of the most well written books in the entire series. Jude watson really knows how to write great books and this no expection. It is kinda of a darker book when compared to the rest of the series really. I loved how the conflinct kept building and building until it finally explodes and leads to an-almost lightsber duel, which would have been great but still really would not fit in with the rest the book. I can realy identify with ob-wan in this one becuase there are so many causes out there to fight but there is always something holding you back (In his case Duty) The only thig that I hated was how I had read it when it first came out so that I had to wait a couple of months before the next book came out ad the storyline could continue on. Never the less I highly recommend this book.

Not one of the better Jedi Apprentice books

This book was not too good compared to most of the other Jedi Apprentice books. I really didn't like the fact that Obi-Wan kept on disobeying his master just for the sake of a few kids, I know that it was supposed to be for a good purpose but I just didn't like that thought. Plus the whole reason that they were there was to save another Jedi that the natives to that planet had trapped, but very seldom do they talk about her because they're to busy going against the orders of the mission trying to help the 'Young.' Try the next book Uncertain Path if you want a good reading book.

    Not the best.

I can't say I was entirely impressed with this one, but it was obvious why Jude Watson did it, and really so long as you have The Uncertain Path next to you it wasn't too bad! I did like Cerasi, though that was one reason it wasn't nice to have the Uncertain Path next to you! Note from Tahl: Who would like to remind everyone that unless you had a better idea of how to test Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan's relationship this was the only way to do it and she also recomends reading the next three books!

    Sarah-wan-Kenobi starwars FREAK!

This book was very disapointing. Obi-Wan- just pretty much ditches the jedi in order to save a couple of friends! Really sucked!

Can You Give More Than 100 Stars?

Hey, my title says it all.Defenders Of The Dead was a GREAT book. I couldn't put it down. I really felt like I knew Obi-Wan, Nield, and Cerasi. I was shaken by the time, thought, and effort put into Defenders Of The Dead. Before I started reading it, I had such a different way of thinking about friends. I REALLY suggest this book-to everyone, not just kids!

This series totally attaches you to the characters!! If you aren't an emotional person or a Star Wars fan, you will be after reading this!! (trust me on that one!)

One of the best Jedi Apprentice books.

When I picked up this book I had the idea that I would read this one just so that I could better understand the books that followed; however, after reading a few pages, I could not put it down. Every chapter in this book grabs the readers attention and keeps him or her reading until the end. If you like Star Wars you don't want to miss The Defenders of the Dead. (Jedi Apprentice #5).
