I love the Jedi Apprentice Series. The story was interesting but it just doesn't have the same quality. The writing is choppy. It doesn't even seem like Jude Watson wrote the book! And the ages of Obi-Wan and Anakin are wrong in the second part of the book. This book just doesn't measure up to the quality that was in the Jedi Apprentice series.

The tides would be high underneath the moons, but on either side of it, the water would be very low because the water that makes up the high tide was brought up from there.

The books of Jedi Apprentice series have always been captivating and interesting, which means not just this 1, but the others in the same series. like 'Deceptions', 'The Rising Force' and lotsa lotsa (*100) others. So, do read it. The Force will definitely Be With You

I thought it went by to fast whenDr.Lundi had the holocron stolen . All you read is that he said he had it but then he loses it. But I liked the fact they had to gather up clues from more then one person this time. It also had Dr.Lundi die to fast also. But it was a good book!

Jude, I am vexed. In your book page 86 you write, 'The moons of Kodai would soon be in synchronous orbit, once again causing an amazingly low tide.' I thought about this a lot and don't understand how it could be so. Synchronous means- 'occuring at the same time; coinciding in time--- going at the same rate and exactly together--recurring together...' Coinciding means- to occupy the same place in space. Now Jude... if this were to happen...the tide would not be low on the planet of Kodia! So, I did some research- just 'cause I love space, and I've just recently finished an astronomy class, and I also talked to my teacher about this one. When our moon is full the tides bulge up towards the moon. They never go down. Now take the power of two moons! They would only go down if they were adjacent I think and were not a new moon. Jude- do you have an explanation for all us readers???! BTW: Your books are great! I will miss Qui-Gon and the young Obi-Wan though. Keep it up! Also: If anyone can prove me wrong, let me know! No hard feelings. I am still just a Padawan learner! Sl'ainte! LAS.

REALLY REALLY GOOD!!!!A fitting final book in our favorite series.Incredibly well writtin(duh). You won't want to put it down till you're through. It's mostly from the masters point of view, meaning Qui-Gon runs the show in the first half, then Obi-Wan takes the wheel.Includes suttle hints to Anikin's future. The very first sentance solves the mystery of what happened to Bant after Tahl's passing.I could go on and on,but that would bore you.GO GET YOUR OWN COPY!Just keep this in mind...YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK!!There is simply no way to get around that fact.
