Imaginative and worth the price of admission.

I've often heard that the Lando trilogy was not worth delving into but I never really heard a good reason why the books weren't that good. I mean to be a good story, star wars or otherwise, it doesnt necessarily have to incorporate canon or cliche elements from the movies that have been done over and over does it? These books are able to steer clear of common canon pitfalls and breathe new life into corners of the galaxy pioneered by a gambling roguish scoundrel.
I have to admit I am a true movie Lando fan and these books are a great escape. I enjoy the vivid pictures the author paints as he tells the three stories. Check out the sample and youll see what I mean. These tales are fun and refreshing

Lando doesn't shine quite as brightly as Han does.

Despite being told by some people that I shouldn't bother reading these stories, I went ahead and did it anyway. These three tales are written at about the same level as the first Han Solo trilogy. The plots tend to be a little simplistic, very little of the established Star Wars universe is mentioned and many of the characters are forgettable. The stories do reveal interesting tidbits about Lando however. I never knew he was that good of a Sabacc player, perhaps the best in the galaxy! I also didn't know he was that bad of a pilot in the beginning! These stories are not among the very best the Star Wars novels have to offer but you should definitely not avoid them either.

    Dreadful

This writer is so over descriptive and repetitive it makes it painful to read. I would not reccomend, it also has no bearing on any of the other Star Wars books, so if you skip this you will not be missing anything except what we all know, Lando was a gambler and a Con Man.
