Darkness Visible The ruthless cunning of the Sith Order has served the shipwrecked crew of the Omen well on the alien planet Kesh. Subjugating the superstitious Keshiri race by posing as its fabled overlords has ensured the Sith's survival—while they struggle in secret to return to the stars. But after fifteen years on their adopted world, some among the lost tribe have grown restless and fearful that assimilation will consume their Sith heritage. Now, as rival factions begin to appear, a shocking disaster throws into doubt the Sith's future on Kesh. In the distant city of Tetsubal, the entire native populace is suddenly wiped out by a grisly plague of unknown origin. With terrifying speed, more cities succumb to the mysterious contagion. more from this reviewer

    Good Quick Read

This one started out slow but picked up quickly. The story is written more like a serial than a full novel. The story is good and so far it does keep my interest. I got started on these because they were offered for free. If you enjoy the Star Wars universe you'll probably enjoy these.

    Another intense offering...

Just as in the previous two stories in this plot arc, Paragon delivers a concentrated dose of Sith treachery and deception. After reading it, I wanted to go back and re-read the first two to make certain I was following the story and tracking with the plot line. I find the short story format an innovative and refreshing way to enjoy new offerings in the Star Wars universe, but I have come to think that this particular series would have been more effective as a comic book. They almost seem as if they are "novellized" versions of of previous comic books. All in all, I enjoyed them and hope to see more explorations into the Sith in the future.

    Cool.

I like how the book does a 15 years later but what happened in between the end of the second book and the beginning of the third book? I am kinda surprised that Seelah marries Korsin. This is kind of strange. Oh well it is still a good book. Happy Holidays!

NOT A BOOK - fine short story - BAD Marketing

Why does B&N think they are better off lying.
This is !NOT A BOOK! - at best it is a short story.

Truth is if you put all 5 of these SHORT STORIES in the series together it makes a fine book. The story is interesting enough to get you through the 5 short stories.

But, I would agree with another comment made earlier. This is probably best enjoyed by a Star Wars fan.

If ya just want some Sci-Fi action and a good book (don't read this short story - because it is !NOT A BOOK!).

If you are a Star Wars fan and want to pick up something to kill an hour or so . . . pick up all 5 short stories and you can do that.

    Death by Betrayal

Betrayal is insistent in Sith society. All Sith dream of self-glorification. That is why tgeir society exsists as a hopeless mess. Glory to who survives is the Sith way. Every one against everyone else. There are precious few leaders who can command them. But even they must withhold certain information or they are no longer in charge. Sith crave power and whoever stands in the way needs to die. That is why good Sith leaders give everyone a certain degree of power. Self-redemtion is impossible once you're done you're done.

    Excellent continuation.

This has been the third installment in the Lost Sith series, and the books just keep getting better. Instead of focusing on introducing new ideas and characters, thus book is now developing more of the plot.

    4-Star Read...

After a somewhat slow 2nd installment, this, the 3rd part picked up and added some needed meat to the story. Makes me look forward to the 4th part.
