Overview

The Clone Wars have exploded across the galaxy as Republic forces and Separatists struggle to gain the upper hand. But while the Jedi generals work tirelessly to defeat Count Dooku and his rebels, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine is hatching his own dark plans.

The Separatists have launched a sneak attack on Coruscant. Obi-Wan Kenobi, wounded in battle, insists that Anakin Skywalker and his rookie Padawan Ahsoka leave on a risky mission against General Grievous. But when Senator Bail Organa reveals explosive intelligence that could turn the tide of war in the Republic’s favor, the Jedi Master agrees to accompany him to an obscure planet on the Outer Rim to verify the facts. What Obi-Wan and Bail don’t realize is that they’re walking into a deadly trap concocted by Palpatine . . . and that escape may not be an option.

Inspired by the full-length animated feature film Star Wars: The Clone Wars and the brand-new TV series, this thrilling adventure is filled with provocative, never-before-revealed insights into the characters of Obi-Wan, Anakin, Padme, Yoda, Count Dooku, and many other Star Wars favorites.

    Great Book!

This book was amazing and exiting at every page. I do have one warning. If you buy this as a NOOK book, it says it's over 400 pages. This is false. The story itself is only 298 pages & the rest is excerpts from many other books. Other than that, this was one of the best Star Wars novels I have read.

    very disappointing

My first indication of "bad" should have been the quick "pop on the shelf" before Xmas in a newsprint quality softcover with artwork from the movie. This "thing" seriously had to have been throw out to an author and written during coffee breaks at work. The research is poor and the plot weak.

Read it only if you are a diehard Clone Wars fan that wants to know everything that happens.

I suspect a few real world pet peeves of the author carry over into the characters; something that certainly annoys me.

I enjoy the Clone Wars movie and Cartoon Network series, but this book I did not enjoy. It fits in with the series, which is interesting. It had a bunch of chapters dealing with characters which slowly developed the overall plot. The rest of the book was a boring rewrite of Frodo and Sam heading for Mount Doom (i.e. Obi-Wan and Bail Organa). The journey became soooo dull; I actually started flipping through pages, giving them a quick scan for important notes until I reached the end. As I suspected - it ended and I missed nothing (expect a few hours reading something (anything) else)

The book is good for inconsistencies. For one, Obi-wan swears off alochol, which we know from other stories he partakes in from time to time.
The cover shows Captain Rex - he plays no part, other than mention, in the story - very deceptive.

This book was sooo great I read it four times! If you like any star wars book I would recommend you read this book. There is one thing I should tell you though. The book is 298 pages long NOT 400. The extra pages are first chapters of other book. I would advise you to get this book. NOW!

Star Wars The Clone Wars Wild Space is a good book!

I loved this book. I just couldn't put it down, and when I finished reading it I read it a second time through. I liked everything about this book except the cover, which does not reflect the plot of the story. The story focused on the Jedi, Bail Organa, the Senate and their dealings with a mysterious planet in Wild Space. Karen Miller's writing style is great. I was drawn into the story right away. She brings a lot of insight into favorite Clone Wars characters. This is a great book for fans.

The book was okay the build up was good but once they go to the goal it just dragged. The characters felt very one demintional, I didn't feel the author really captured the characters.

    A good character piece

First off I should say that I really like the Prequels and the Clone Wars series. Anyone who does not may find this a bit off-putting. The focus here is on Obi-Wan and Bail Organa, with minor appearances by Anakin, Padme, Ashoka, and such.(though all are equally well written) We really get some good insight into Obi's character here as well as the resulting alliance with Bail that we see come into play near the end of Ep.III. There's not a lot of 'action' persay, but plenty of dramatic parts as well as humour. And, in my opinion, Karen Miller absolutely nails Obi-wan's character. Highly recommended for anyone wishing to extend the universe.

    I Also Recommend:

    Wild Space

This Star Wars story follows the animated series. However, this story is more geared towards the adult audience. It is a must-read for any Star Wars fan.
